| Halgar was wandering around without much to do, his new bow slung over his shoulder. He had tried to look for more work, but none had made itself apparent. In lack of things to do and indeed, of money; he walked aimlessly around, eventually reaching a lake where some old guy was selling bait. The prices were a bit steep for Halgar's limited finances. He briefly contemplated simply stealing the bait, it wouldn't be very hard to do so, nor should it be hard making the old man shut up about it. But his human compassion forced him to put the idea aside, the man had to make a living to after all. Halgar reached into his coin purse and got out five coins, half his meagre fortune, and paid for some worms. As he sat down fishing, his hunter patience came to good use, for he was normally not fit for waiting like this, but by forcing himself to think of it as a hunt, he managed to stay put and alert.

| A fish bites on your bait. For a moment you think it's only hitting the bottom but the fish bites again. You yank your rod until you know you set the hook. Then you try to get the fish in, you succeed! You catch a nice Large Mouth Bass!
You try your luck again, this time you catch a carp! They must be biting.
You let the hook fall into the water once more. This time you catch a nice Channel Catfish!
You let the hook fall into the water again. This time a huge fish gets on! But with your lack of experience the line pops and you loose your hook. You turn to put on another hook and you knock over all your bait into the water.
You leave with a Carp, A large mouth bass, and a channel catfish over your shoulder...

| Halgar finished setting up his equipment, threw out the line and started eating his Carp as he waited for the fish to bite. | |

| *It seems that this morning is a good morning! Fish are breaking the surface of the water and dragonflies are buzzing about.
No sooner did you throw your hook in, that you pulled your hook out, with a goggle-eye on the end of it!
The rest of the day seems okay for you. Although, the fish slowly stop biting at all...Leaving you with three carps, two small mouth bass, one brim, two pikes, and the goggle-eye you got earlier.

| ***GM action.
The Lake had a slow rolling fog, skipping across the waters. It was a bit chilly, and nothing broke the glass-like surface. Today...was not a good day for fishing.
You only catch one measly carp...
