| Arkanid entered the shop with trepedition, the smile dropping from his face as his mood instantly changed. He felt his skin prickle. There was power here.
He kept his expression completely neutral as he slowly crossed the length of the shop, though one could not ignore the hungry gleam in his eye. He spent a geat deal of time pouring over the shops contents, until, perhaps sensing the impatience of the shopkeeper, he reluctantly made his way over to the counter, where he leaned in close.
"I desire the power of Fire, and Stone." he whispered softly, the silence broken by a small *chink* as he deposited a pouch of coins on the table.

| The shopkeep stared at him with tired eyes. The whites were a dull yellow and glossed over. His hair was past his shoulder, but only around his head. On top, there was only a few dead gray sprouts. He snatched the coin off the counter. As feeble as the shopkeep looked, no one could have kept up with his strike. His hand shot out and grabbed Arkanid's head. His grip was strong, and before Arkanid could even think of shying away...there was light.
A warmth felt the room as light bounced of reflecting objects, but as soon as it started, it ended just as quickly. Then when Arkanid should of felt relief, another light. This one was denser, and not so bright. Everything felt heavy, and Arkanid huffed as if out of breath. Then the light ended. The shopkeep retrieved his hand and stared silently at the adjacent wall, unblinking.

| Arkanid staggered back as the old man suddenly released him from his vice-like grip, swaying slightly. His breath came in ragged gasps and his face held a wild, exhilarated look as he struggled to regain his composure.
he remained motionless for another half minute. His heart still pounding in his ears from the experience, but the old man did nothing and remained frozen like a statue. Uncertainly at first, but with growing confidence as the shopkeeper did not protest, he began to move towards the door, pulling his hood up over his head as he exited the shop with quick strides, slightly unnerved.
